Every now and then I question my importance
There must be a reason for my futile existence
Why do I wake each morning and carry on and on?
Why do I work as if each conclusion was foregone?
Why am I here and why does any of this matter?
The poor only get poorer and sad only get sadder
No matter how fast we run, climb, fight and try
None of us ever know the answer to every why
But here I am again, facing a brand new day
And somehow I’ll continue on my merry way
So wake up and join me in this puzzling quest
Let’s take our heartaches and face each test
Let’s run toward the sun and face its bright light
Because life is worth every trial and every fight
