Our Reflections

Regina Puckett

Photo albums hold recollections

A storehouse for our reflections

We can flip through and reminisce

Our first date, first born, first kiss

We seldom store away our heartbreaks

We try to forget those redo and retakes

Because who wants a constant reminder

When we weren’t at our best or kinder

Who wants to look back and see the pain

The days we were selfish, cold and vain

Instead we snap, click and shoot our best

And keep our hurt hidden inside our breast
