Stack & Restack
Stack and Restack
There’s never enough
Can never be too tough
No one hears
Walk or run, run
Your hard work – all undone
But put those building blocks back into place
Even as the time keepers smirk at your race
They wait for the tidy pyramid to stand again
And laugh when it’s knocked down by a friend
The world is an unkind place, but who’s counting?
The only person in charge of your life’s accounting
Is the man staring back from that damn old mirror.
So stack and restack those blocks – the end is nearer.
