Whichever the Wind May Blow

Regina Puckett

In a blink everything was all gone

A flash – a bang and our love was wrong

If only I could go back and change it all

But which decision was responsible for my fall?

Did I love far too much or never quite enough?

What would have stopped it disappearing in a puff?

I missed all the signs that warned there was danger ahead

The ones that pointed to where love had gone – I never read

So here I stand not knowing which direction to go,

A wanderer susceptible to whichever the wind may blow
