Reside in Confusion

Reside in Confusion
Regina Puckett

I catch myself wishing for peace and quiet
A quick escape from the constant riot
Of others’ noise, wants, needs and questions
A place to hide from busybodies and their suggestions
But when I finally do find a place of noiseless solitude
I discover I begin to wish to be a part of the multitude
So maybe the peace I seek is only an illusion
And a piece of me will always reside in confusion
